I love using shades of turquoise, coral, and earthy hues along with raw brass to create jewelry that can be worn with dress clothes or blue jeans. On the other hand, if the mood strikes me, I will create more elegant pieces with a splash of silver that are perfect for special occasions.
My one-of-a-kind collage brooches incorporate many elements, including antique buttons, charms, beads,Swarovski and Austrian crystals, watch parts, antique typewriter keys,seashells, hand-dyed and hand-painted silk flowers, vintage jewelry pieces, and even puzzle pieces. If it’s tiny it may end up in one of my pins.
My button bracelets are popular for their light weight, durability and style. My antique typewriter key bracelets evoke memories of an era when computers were only a dream.
For my felted wool pins, I use a variety of colors and finishing materials. I obtain some of my wool from vintage coats. Some of the wool is hand-dyed to give it a soft, shaded appearance. Antique buttons, tiny vintage Christmas bells, and yarns are some of the materials I use to finish the flower pins. They are lovely on a winter coat, a suit jacket, a cloth purse, a hat,or even a denim jacket. Some of my clients have used the wool flowers to pin a scarf in place on their favorite outfit.
